Interview with Pro Basketball Player Jake Collagan

“Where are you originally from and how did you hear about the Tallahassee Southern Kings?” - Smith

“Im from a town in Connecticut called Hartford. The last team I played for was Eastern Connecticut State University. It was a small division three school close to UCONN. I’m sure people have heard of UCONN. I went to a few combines and just got looped up with Damien Jackson; the Tallahassee Southern Kings team market owner. After that the rest was history. I found my way down here to Tallahassee.”

- Collagan

You had yourself a breakout night during the exhibition game. What do you think you bring to this team and what can we expect from you on the floor?”
- Smith

“ I bring energy, you can expect me to push the tempo of the game I like to get out there and get everyone involved as much as possible.”
 - Collagan

“ You sound like a real team player. Name two of your greatest skills, that you bring to the Sourthern Kings.” - Smith

“I always loved to shoot the three ball, but pushing the tempo and getting in transition is probably something I strive on.” - Collagan

“Who would you say you mirror your game after?” - Smith

“Me, Jake Collagan.” - Collagan

“Well you know what they say; creativity and originality is the key to success. How would you describe your eating habits now that you’re a professional athlete? Would you agree that what you take in is just as important as working out?” - Smith

“I would agree that eating habits are important and I am really big on nutritional smoothies and shakes. However, I will say my eating habits can get better. ” - Collagan

“Do you have a teammate that you workout with ? If so who is your go to guy when you want to put some work in at the gym?” - Smith

“My young bull Mario Williams” - Collagan

We are very excited to see more of you in the games to come Jake. This is an exciting new journey for you and it’s going to bring a lot of attention for the Big Bend area. Good luck in your upcoming season and thank you for your time.” - Smith
